I would say Verdana and Georgia are your best starting points. Tall x-height, open counters, low contrast, loose spacing.1 -

I think it's strange that they have the same name, as they are giving off pretty different vibes. Crimson Text feels more classical, like a Garamond of sorts, and I could see it being used in a novel…1
